Obama-nomics and an Iraqumentary
Barack Obama's presidential campaign highlighted Florida's record-high job-loss numbers in a Thursday conference call to tout the Democrat's economic-stimulus plans and bash Republican rival John McCain as a President Bush clone.
Obama’s economic advisor, Jason Furman, launched the attack in response to a Miami Herald article concerning Florida's financial forecast and the fact that Florida is the nation's job-loss leader, with 74,700 Floridians without work in the past year.
Briefly: Obama's plan calls for middle-class tax credits and cuts for a typical Florida family savings of about $3,700. McCain's economic plan is geared more toward small businesses and extending the Bush tax cuts, which Obama wants to end.
Playing to the economy is a natural for Obama, who's trusted more on the issue, according to polls. McCain's war record, meantime, is his strong suit. Hence, the Republican Party is showing an Obama-bashing Iraqumentary tomorrow.
By taking note of Florida, the Obama campaign is showing signs that he's ready to play hard in the Sunshine State. But Republicans don't believe it. They say Obama's Florida campaign is a mirror of the candidate: All talk and no show.
President Bush got the biggest thrashing in Furman’s conference call for having taken "a chainsaw” to responsible lending regulation. Furman left attacks on Gov. Charlie Crist, a McCain vice-presidential hopeful, up to Obama's Florida spokesman Mark Bubriski:, who said “despite his wide-ranging promises, Crist has pushed policies from the Bush-McCain school of economics, and they've had about the same result.”

Nobody believes Obama anymore. Tell him to send some business our way, now, and save the big talk.

"Iraqumentary"?!?
Sounds like a certain reporter doesn't like McCain documenting Obama's incoherent stance on Iraq.
