Pruitt: Come get your money back, Seminoles

Senate President Ken Pruitt just issued a statement supporting the Supreme Court's decision that cancelled Gov. Charlie Crist's Seminole gambling deal. Pruitt also noted that the tribe can get its $50 million it paid to the state at any time. Full story here

From the release:

“For the Senate, this case was about protecting the important concept of separation of powers. We are pleased with the Supreme Court’s decision upholding the legislature’s sole authority to make law.”

“The $50 million that was transferred to the state as a part of the compact was not spent or factored into our state’s financial outlook. The money is currently in General Revenue and is available to be returned.”

Why don't we pool this with the $224 million we gave Buffet and make another side bet on a Hurricane?
