'Average beer-drinking guy' from FL to nominate Obama

This just in: Mike Wilson of Melbourne, a Iraq veteran and registered Republican who described himself to Naked Politics as an "average beer-drinking guy down the street," will officially nominate Barack Obama as the Democratic nominee for president tonight.

Wilson knew he was getting three minutes on stage, but the national party didn't announce until today that he would make the official nomination. More on Wilson here and another convention speaker from Florida is here.
