Nelson: "You can't do better than Joe Biden"

Bill Nelson earlier this week told the New York Times that Biden would make a great veep pick for Barack Obama -- when it comes to courting voters in Florida.

Nelson told the newspaper that Biden's age is an "asset, not a liability, particularly among many of his constituents in Florida, a perennial swing state.

" 'You can’t do better than Joe Biden for vice president,' Mr. Nelson said. "He appeals to the kind of swing voters in Florida you have to have to win here because of his gravitas."

Joe Biden is a great orator. In fact, I remember his "I have a dream" speech, or when he said "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" or even when he said, "give me liberty or give me death."

Glad to see the plagiarist is back. He plagiarized while in law school. He plagiarized a speech when running for president.

Best of all is his racism towards Indian Americans.

"I've had a great relationship. In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian-Americans moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking," Biden said.

Obama should have picked Senator Nelson. But, Obama did not even consider him, which is a big insult to all Floridians. Nelson is knowledgeable, intelligent and honest. He has done a great job as our senator. Obama continues to slap Florida in the face.

I agree that Biden was a great choice. He's a very well known commodity - widely respected and trusted by those of us who have been on the planet for more than 1 generation.

But unfortunately, we're still stuck with an ego-inflated empty suit (aka - a bag of hot air) at the top of the ticket.

What a guy...

Nelson sucks!

Senator Nelson has done more to help the people of Florida than anyone in the state's recent history.

Senator Biden was a great choice. I cannot not say that for Senator Nelson.
