Volunteers hope Jewish voters pick Israel (the candidate, that is)

What's in a name? Well, in the five-way race for Broward Sheriff, supporters of Scott Israel hope a name will get them a boost from Broward's powerful Jewish voting bloc. Volunteers for Israel, a North Bay Village police chief, are spending Primary Day in Century Village in Pembroke Pines handing out small Israeli flags and urging the condo community's many Jewish voters to "support Israel." Israel explains his campaign manager came up with the idea. "Everyone's got a gimmick," he said at Century Village. Century Village, home to hundreds of Jewish voters, usually plays a pivotal role in Broward elections. However, Israel volunteers are giving voters a choice between American flags and Israeli ones. And "it's 2-to-1 American flags," said one volunteer. Wonder what that means for Israel the candidate...
