DENVER -- U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a passionate supporter of Hillary Clinton during the primaries, will be among three people speaking in favor of Barack Obama's nomination tonight.
After both candidates' names are placed in nomination, a handful of people will second the bids. It's no surprise the Obama campaign turned to Wasserman Schultz, a role model for young, working woman who represents a heavily Jewish constituency that favored Clinton.
Florida Democratic Party Chairwoman Karen Thurman told delegates to tune in at 3:37 p.m. tonight. U.S. Reps. Robert Wexler of Boca Raton and Kathy Castor of Tampa will also be on stage.
"It's going to be a Florida night,'' Thurman said.
