Sarah Palin has an Israeli flag in her office!

That's the title, exclamation point included, of a YouTubed interview with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin that is making the rounds. Why? At two minutes and 40 seconds, a postcard-sized Israeli flag is visible near the window of her office, which the Republican Jewish Coalition says shows the vice presidential nominee's "commitment to the Jewish community."

The group also commends her "strong working relationship'' with the Jewish residents of Alaska. All 12 of them.

(Actually, there are 4,500-5,000 Jews in the state, according to the Alaska Jewish Historical Museum.)

On the other side of the political spectrum, the National Jewish Democratic Council is using Palin in a fundraising appeal, citing her "zero foreign policy experience."

Wake up and spit out the coolaid

I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:2-3)

Historical Evidence that God Keeps His Promises Regarding Those who Bless and Curse Israel.

Saddam shot missiles at Israel during the first gulf war, Saddam was hung in the second gulf war.

As the twentieth century’s most infamous
example of a persecutor of the Jews, what happened to Hitler? He shot himself.

The U.S. is still standing strong because we support Israel.

It certainly wouldn't be an American flag, since she seems to be for Alaskan secession. McCain's cute "Little Eskimo" is hidden away, being given a cram course in world affairs. How precious.

David

Glad to see sexism as voiced by Eric alive and well. Sarah Palin has never been for secession. She will make an excellent Vice President.

ericmiami, you big dope, Palin has more experience after a week of being governor than the 20 years your pathetic excuse of a nominee has of rabble rousing in Chicago and jumping from elected office to elected office with no accomplishments to show.

Misha

cheo dont forget Obama was a community organizer. What is the job description for that one? To cause trouble?

Bob

She is a joke! Seems she lies as much as a seasoned Washington politician. How can one be in favor of the bridge in one interview and then when it seemed that her political career would be enhanced she switched her story... I told congress no thank and if Alaska needs it built we will do it ourselves. Ok, then why did she keep the money that was earmarked for the bridge after she denounced it?

Palin STILL member of Church that justifies attacks on Jews

Sounde like a staged prop to try to distract Jewish voters from Palins membership of a church and attendance of ceremony where the attacks on Jews were justified as "gods judgement". Palin was even shown shaking her head in agreement in the audience. The jewish community should demand Palin leave this church which she STILL embraces.

Palin now attends the Wasilla Bible Church. She was there on August 17, just days before entering the national spotlight. David Brickner, the founder of Jews for Jesus, was a speaker. He told congregants that terrorist attacks on Israel were God's "judgment" of Jews who haven't embraced Christianity. Brickner said, "Judgment is very real and we see it played out on the pages of the newspapers and on the television. When a Palestinian from East Jerusalem took a bulldozer and went plowing through a score of cars, killing numbers of people. Judgment -- you can't miss it."

Cuban Gator

Good for her! Israel is the only democracy in that part of the world. Women are not treated like chattels as in most muslim countries. Also, remember that The One is known for having Cuban flags with the image of Che Guevara superimposed. Go Sarah!

Doug

That is not an Israeli Flag Dips. It is a BLUE STAR MOTHERS' FLAG. It is for mothers that have sons or daughters serving in uniform.
Palin is a Dip by the way

M

Not the one in the center of the window, but near the frame. It is white with a blue star of david and blue bars on top and bottom.

Hey Bob. If you go beyond the sound bites, you would know that Palin only said she would not stand in the way of the bridge to nowhere before she was in office. She did not overtly support it. She did kill the project. I suppose you would not know that Sen. Obama and Sen. Biden both voted to let Alaska keep the money that was designated for the bridge to nowhere instead of using it for relief for the Katrina disaster. Hmmmm? Was Palin responsible for the earmark in the first place? No. Did she vote to keep it or keep it without Washington's permission? No. Did Obama and Biden both vote to let Alaska keep it? Yes. Who is a joke? Obama and Biden. They are the true hypocrites. They voted for it and they criticize her for taking it. You are obviously not using you own reasoning abilities or you don't have any.

In response to: Palin STILL member of Church that justifies attacks on Jews, Those comments by the man from Jews for Jesus do not "justify attacks on Jews." He is simply explaining that God does bring judgment on nations that do not follow his ways. If you read the Tanach (Deuteronomy 18 and Isaiah in particular) you will see this very clearly. Orthodox Judaism and biblical Christianity are the only two religions that are supported by true prophets and documented in history. Since the destruction of the temple, it is impossible to practice orthodox (Tanach-based) Judaism. The position of Jews for Jesus is simply that Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of Messiach in the Tanach. Also, read Ephesians chapter 2 in the Bible to see what the Christian perspective is on the relationship between Christians and Jews. There is no hostility between real followers of Jesus and the Jewish people. The Jews are God's chosen people and real followers of Jesus love them.
