Crist raising (non-McCain) money in Miami

From the damned-either-way files: Gov. Charlie Crist is heading to a $10,000-a-head Republican Party of Florida fundraiser tonight for state legislative candidates at the home of Florida Wildlife Commissioner and lobbyist Rodney Barreto. Some John McCain supporters are nervous that the money won't go to help his campaign (some probably will). And some state party Republicans are miffed that all the money won't go to the kitty for state legislative races that, they say, the McCain raided.

***Update: Top Crist/McCain fundraiser Brian Ballard took issue with whomever is saying Crist isn't doing enough for the presidential nominee.

"He raised at least $30 million for McCain and tapped and hit up his donors hard. Anyone who is telling you anything else isn't just stupid, they're galactically stupid," Ballard said. "They need to stop complaining, shut up and pick up a sign and start waving it for McCain on a street corner. Because that's what we need."
