Crist says casinos in Miami could provide economic boost

When asked about whether he supports the pursuit of a petition drive to ask voters to bring casino gambling to Miami Beach and Miami, Gov. Charlie Crist said he's going to stay out of it until voters decide but he did consider the economy.

"I'm not a proponent of gambling,'' Crist said Wednesday. "But, by the same token if the people decide that that's something that they want, how can I disagree with the boss -- and it certainly could provide some economic stimulation as well.''
