It's Miller time: Grab yer guns and Bibles

U.S. Rep. Jeff Miller knew how to fire up the firey crowd waiting for Sarah Palin to speak: "If You're a good American and you cling to your guns and religion, would you stand up!"

The crowd roared at the line inspired by Barack Obama's claim, in San Francisco, that a lot of folks are "bitter" and "cling to their guns and religion" -- something they love here in buckle-end of the Bible Belt.

State Rep. Clay Ford, speaking earlier, reminded voters of another line from Obama, who said Republicans would say he's "scary" because he doesn't look like the presidents on the dollar bills.

"The alternatives are scary, really scary. And if you remember, Obama talked early in the campaign about how people were going to make him sound scary. Let me tell you, he is scary," Ford said. “I think I know and I think I understand most of the core believes of John McCain and Sarah Palin. I don’t have any idea what Senator Obama’s beliefs is. I don’t know what any of his beliefs are."

Bud Day of Swiftboat Veterans for Truth Fame led the pledge of allegiance and reminded folks of Michelle Obama's saying she hadn't always been proud of her country.

Then came Gov. Charlie Crist, who was a little nicer and remarked "This is McCain Palin country, ain't it."

What really is scary is the possibility of Sarah Palin becoming president of the U.S. -- With McCain's age and being a cancer survivor, the chances are very high. Why doesn't McCain releases his medical records? As for having the
Swiftboat for Truth guy as part of the program... That says it all.
