Martinez calls out Lincoln Diaz-Balart's latest attack ad

Raul Martinez denounced Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart Thursday for using a former Hialeah police officer to trash him in his latest anti-Martinez TV ad.

Bill O'Connell, a retired Hialeah police captain, appears in the ad accusing Martinez of being the "most corrupt politician you will ever see in your life.''

''The new ad is a former disgruntled police officer that cannot speak for police officers, and had Lincoln Diaz-Balart vetted this individual he would have found out very easily by just calling the city that this was the police officer that tried to steal from the city,'' Martinez said at a press conference. "He was caught. He pretended to be injured.''

That 5 million dollars for Barrack Obama’s 30 minute commercial is corrupt money from companies on wall street that have purposely ruined American citizens lives by creating financial turmoil. This is all by design to sway votes toward Obama. Wake up people, the wall street meltdown just so happened right before this election? Regardless our votes don’t count. The U.S. election is as corrupt as many third world countries.

I can’t believe American citizens will not use their heads to put two and two together. Where is Barrack Obama getting all of this money for advertisements. Don’t be afraid people, the wall street melt down is a magic trick to put us in fear to vote for Barrack Obama. Wall Street is greasing Bill Clinton’s palm also for his money shot Endorsement of B.O.. The wall street meltdown happened in a timely manner before the election. Wall Street has robbed American citizens purposely to sway an election. B.O. is a gentle lamb in wolves clothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is Raul Martinez also going to claim the video of him grabbing the little boy and attacking him is also a fabrication? What lie will he tell to explain that one?

The amazing thing is that the Miami Herald spent years writing how corrupt Martinez is, spent years documenting his corruption trial and the corruption stings that brought him to that trial, and then the herald endorses this germ anyway.

You journalists are lower than the low-life politicians you endorse.

jm

Do you not realize that the media will juice out whatever it can sell itself? The articles are based on allegations and good publication will denote when things are allegations and when they are real. This is a way to retract the support of allegations. And hello?!?! have you been living under a rock flpd? dont you know journalists get paid for dirty work anything they can find on both ends to sell a newspaper and by other politicians. Also, why would this pathetic low life ex police make such an ad? Obviously because he is hurt, he was punished and didnt like it but apparently because he knows he deserves it and doesnt agree. He is as much of a crook and corrupt as he claims raul martinez to be. Wake the hell up ignorant and realize what the hell he has done for the city of hialeah. From dirt, it is now a beautiful city...la ciudad que progresa. Just imagine the wonders he can draw at a national level. Families who are unable to but computers or printers no longer have to go far or not turn in homework because he created the initiative to have satellite libraries.. now when you have kids and can realize these struggles and how much city help such as that can impact your life your going to be ashamed bec your vote did not go to raul.

I challenge anyone to name ONE thing the Diaz-Balart brothers have done in Washington that's had a DIRECT positive impact on their Districts.

I just went to his website www.lincoln2008.com and found these answers for you:

Bringing Federal Dollars to Broward County Since 2003:

$15,750,000 for the construction of a key interchange along I-75 (Pines Blvd. and Pembroke Road) to fight gridlock and congestion.
$2,700,000 to provide readily available convenient and environmentally friendly public transportation with the construction of a Broward County bus depot.
$200,000 for a new City of Pembroke Pines Water Treatment Center, ensuring that our critical infrastructure is able to keep pace with the significant growth of our community.
$50,000 for NOVA Southeastern University for a computer literacy initiative.

Bringing Federal Dollars to South Miami-Dade County Since 1993:

$5,500,000 in federal funding obtained for Miami-Dade County to purchase environmentally-friendly neighborhood buses.
$1,500,000 for security and traffic technology/cameras for SR 874/Don Shula Expressway.
$2,105,000 for Florida International University. The bulk of that funding goes to fund research programs that benefit South Dade.

Bringing Federal Dollars to North Miami-Dade County:

$22,300,000 for the extension of Metrorail and the construction of the Palmetto Metrorail station. Additionally, Diaz-Balart supported the ongoing efforts to create a Miami-Dade County Orange extension to the Miami-Dade/Broward County line.
$5,500,000 for Miami-Dade County buses including natural gas buses and smaller, community oriented buses. Has secured an additional $2,200,000 for the expansion of the bus fleet in Southwest Broward county that serves riders across the county line.
$1,000,000 for security and traffic equipment for the Gratigny. This funding will help traffic management while improving homeland security by monitoring roadways.
$975,000 for Head Start facilities in Hialeah.
$400,000 for the Miami-Dade College Hialeah Campus Library to make that library a state of the art facility.

Luke, thank you for going out and compiling this research, but how many years has he been in the congressional seat and has only done this bit? As a mayor (less pulling power than a congressman/woman) RM with even less funding and monies has done far more for the city. Just imagine the rest of Miami Dade county and Broward county with bold intiatives such as the ones that RM has pulled off. VOTE TADDEO TOO!!! :)

Officer Hialeah

I've worked as a police officer w/ the city of Hialeah for over 23 years. Everything Bill O'Connell states about Raul Martinez is true, but than again, everything Raul Martinez states about O'Connell is true also. O'connell was an individual who would make things up as long as he looked good infront of Raul Martinez. Ask Bill about the kid he arrested for torching Raul Martinez's car.Even got a confession out of the kid after beating him. Turns out, it was a former Hialeah Cop who committed the arson. The kid had nothing to do w/ it. Raul Martinez is corrupt, he treated all employees like garbage and made millions off of the hard working tax payers of Hialeah. Please, don't vote for him.

Luke

JM, Congress works on a seniority system. It would take Mr. Martinez considering his disdain for Ileana and his diminished verbal skills to attain a quarter of Mr. Diaz-Balart's accomplishments in the same time.

What he did to or for Hialeah has much to be desired. I think Mr. Robaina has done as much in less time than Mr. Martinez, so I wonder what he did with all of that wasted time?

In spite of your best efforts, the Democrats will not gain these seats even after spending millions of dollars and having the endorsement from Rep. Obama,Rep. Pelosi, and the Clintons, Aruca and all the Cuba travel agencies and the Cuban regime.

Don't feel pity for Mr. Martinez's bruised ego, he will still have his Millions and live richer than all of us.

Luke

BTW: Thanks Hialeah Officer for speaking out. Even though you have differences with the Capt. you still told the truth about Mr. Martinez and that is worthy of notice.

dumb ass democrat

The Miami Herald is a scumbag organization.. After years of articles on the corrupt goverment of the scum bag Martinez, now they indorse him.. I LOVE THAT THE HERALD IS LOOSING MORE AND MORE OF IT'S READER, A DYING NEWSPAPER..LOL.
