President Bush heading to Miami to raise $$$

With polls suggesting several close congressional races in Florida -- including challenges to Lincoln and Mario Diaz-Balart -- President Bush heads to Florida Friday to raise money for the GOP.

The White House says Bush -- who has low popularity ratings but remains a formidable fundraiser -- will attend a fundraiser at a private residence in Coral Gables benefitting the Congressional Trust 2008, a joint fund-raising operation that benefits both the National Republican Congressional Committee and the Republican National Committee.

Following the fundraiser, Bush is to meet with Cuban-American community leaders, the White House says.

Bush hosted a fundraiser in Naples for the Diaz-Balarts several months back, but neither made the event, saying they had to cast votes in DC.

Mr. President if you want to visit Florida and help out the American people then have meetings with the residents, not your fund raising pals. The more time you spend in Florida the better the Democrats will do. Diaz-Balarts, Ros-Lehtinen, and McCain will continue to drop in the polls. Why are you meeting with Cuban-American "leaders"? Why not meet with the actual residents to hear the truth first hand about how tough it is on the streets of Miami and Ft. Lauderdadle. Cuban Americans, Hispanics, Blacks and Whites have seen your "policies" over the last 8 years and you are done! And just in case your were wondering, there are plenty of registered, Hispanics voters in Miami that are NOT of Cuban descent (Brazilians, Argetinians, Columbians, Central Americans of Many countries, etc.) and they are not happy with you either. Don't let the door hit you on the way out!
