Goals accomplished, FIU prez Mitch Maidique says he's ready to retire

Florida International University President Modesto ''Mitch'' Maidique announced today he is stepping down when the school's board of trustees can find a successor because his dreams "have been accomplished." He said he may remain in the job from nine months to 1-1/2 years until a successor is found. Read more here.
