Terry McAuliffe still wishes he could be Florida governor

Former DNC chair Terry McAuliffe is running for governor of Virginia, but it looks like he's still nursing a crush on Florida -- the state he flirted with in 2005 before learning that Florida's 7-year residency requirement would bar a bid for office.

A Virginia blog notes that as McAuliffe opened a "listening tour" he "talked about the research institutes and universities we have here in Florida."

"Oops!" says the blog Not Larry Sabato. "Say it 100 times Terry. Virginia, not Florida. Virginia, not Florida. Virginia, not Florida."
