FL still coughing up money for Obama

President-elect Barack Obama released today a list of 1,776 -- how patriotic! -- donors who have given nearly $1.2 million to pay for his transition to the White House. The incoming administration is limiting donations to $5,000 each and rejecting money from corporations, registered foreign lobbyists and registered foreign agents.

Contribution limits for the inauguration are higher, at $50,000.

Donors from South Florida to Obama's transition include developer Michael Adler($5,000), state Sen. Jeremy Alters ($5,000) Performing Arts Center Chairman Ricky Arriola ($1,000.00), real estate investor Austin Forman ($5,000) and Westec CEO Gerald Vento ($5,000).
