Crist strikes bill signing gold

Gov.Charlie Crist knows how to get mileage out a bill signing. His schedule tomorrow shows him signing four  Airplane1rgbbusiness-consumer friendly bills at four locations across the state. The bills are HB 7031, 485, 227 and 127 (Ocala only).

  • 9 a.m. Tallahassee, the Capitol
  • 11:20 a.m. Ocala, Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control
  • 1:35 p.m. St. Augustine,  St. Johns County Convention Center
  • 4:15 p.m. Naples, Arthrex Inc.

A busy day for a man who, coincidentally, is running for U.S. Senate. Crist will likely dutifully refuse to answer questions related to his campaign but the exposure itself is pure gold, and illustrates the advantage a current office holder  -- be it Bill McCollum or Alex Sink -- has over someone like Marco Rubio.

is he really a republican?

No coincidence! He'll sign a bill from last year if enough people show. Always a large number of Dems who get or take credit for passing the bills he signs, even if they didn't work them. Must be very disheartening for the republican lawmakers, especially during their campaigns.
Maybe this should brought up in his primary campaign.
