Broward employees face furloughs and CFO is out the door

Broward Administrator Bertha Henry said in an email that her budget proposal released tonight includes five mandatory days of furloughs for county workers.

County Commissioner John Rodstrom said that Henry told him the furloughs will save about $4.5 million.

Rodstrom said he also heard that CFO Mike Geoghegan has resigned.
