Health care debate hits FL airwaves

The national Democratic party is launching a television spot targeting on-the-fence senators in eight states -- including Florida -- who are wary of President Barack Obama's proposed overhaul of the health care system.

The ad will run on national cable and local stations in Florida, Ohio, Indiana, Maine, Arkansas, Louisiana, North Dakota and Nebraska over the next two weeks. The party is also enlisting grassroots volunteers from the 2008 campaign to lobby for the president's agenda.

Local activists have already started nudging Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson over the past couple weeks. One blogger noted a recent Tweet by Nelson: Lotta folks asking me about health care reform. We really need it. I'm working on it. But we need a viable plan for how to pay for it.

REAL health care reform starts right here in Florida. When you think about it, we SHOULD lead health care reform because with our mix of all ages, all races, all ethnic backgrounds and levels of income, no other state looks or feels more like America than Florida.

As Florida goes, so goes the Nation!

Forest Gump (Sen. Nelson) is worried about snakes in Florida and he should be more worried about himself and his fellow democratic snakes in Washington. Not only will every electric bill skyrocket but the cost of just about everything we buy will increase. As the cost of doing business and production increases said costs will be passed along to the consumer. THIS CAP AND TRADE TAX IS A JOB KILLER. Obama and his Chicago gang of democrats own this failing economy now and it shows. The so called stimulus package was nothing more than a package of pork and it is failing as more and more jobs are lost. Obama said if we pass his stumulus package of pork unemployment would max out at 8% and now it's 9.5% and soon to be 10-12% or higher. WE CERTAINLY CAN'T TRUST THEIR NUMBERS. Forest Gump needs to vote no on the Cap & Trade Tax but he will follow orders from Obama and his fellow socialists as usual.

The government plan is on the wrong side of value.

We are much better financially and with less debt to have a different plan. Here is my outline.

1. 250k and 500k capped full medical plans by private insurance. Lowers cost by 50%. 1 in 10k
actually use over 250k of insurance but it
does happen.

2.govt plan for those who of surpassed 250k
of claims. this is where we need to ask the govt to fit in. Small premiums by each person
from the 50% lower cost . What that % is should be 10% of all premium

3. The ability to switch coverage on a limited basis based upon retirement, change job, loss of job.
4. limited pre- existing condition on all plans.

5. psc drug coverage with a cap and if you go over cap it goes to gov't plan

6.Coverage for pre medical issues eg: pap smear
psa testing to prevent or control disease.

All businessed could save 40% in cost throughout the USA. we can get every one covered and we will not go broke.

With the public’s trust in his handling of health care tanking (50%-44% of Americans disapprove), the White House has launched a new phase of its strategy designed to pass Obamacare: all Obama, all the time. As part of that effort, Obama hosted a conference call with leftist bloggers urging them to pressure Congress to pass his health plan as soon as possible.

During the call, a blogger from Maine said he kept running into an Investors Business Daily article that claimed Section 102 of the House health legislation would outlaw private insurance. He asked: “Is this true? Will people be able to keep their insurance and will insurers be able to write new policies even though H.R. 3200 is passed?” President Obama replied: “You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about.” (quote begins at 17:10)

This is a truly disturbing admission by the President, especially considering that later in the call, Obama promises yet again: “If you have health insurance, and you like it, and you have a doctor that you like, then you can keep it. Period.” How can Obama keep making this promise if he is not familiar with the health legislation that is being written in Congress? Details matter.

The Mayo Clinic on Monday issued a startling rebuke to the Obama administration coming down strongly against the healthcare reform proposal offered by House Democrats last week.

In a statement posted at the Clinic's Health Policy Blog, one of the most respected medical institutions in the nation said: "[T]he proposed legislation misses the opportunity to help create higher-quality, more affordable health care for patients. In fact, it will do the opposite."
