Longtime lobbyist Wade Hopping, of the firm Hopping Green & Sams, suffered a stroke this weekend, colleagues confirmed. He was reportedly in intensive care.
Hopping has been undergoing treatment for esophogeal cancer. He was among the lobbyists who, at the end of the 2009 legislative session, pushed the offshore oil drilling proposal that died.
