Jax police group endorses Thrasher for Senate

The Jacksonville Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) wants former House Speaker and lobbyist John Thrasher for the Senate.

The FOP just announced its endorsement of the Republican for District 8, a race that is getting more tense by the day.

“It is my honor and pleasure to announce our endorsement of John Thrasher for Senate District 8,” said Nelson Cuba, president of the Jacksonville FOP, Jacksonville Consolidated Lodge 5-30.  “We are proud to endorse John Thrasher, who is a staunch supporter of our local law enforcement and clearly appreciates the dedication of those of us who have chosen this field as a profession.”

The Jacksonville FOP represents nearly 3,000 active and retired Jacksonville Law Enforcement professionals.

Glad to see the Police endorsing Thrasher. The bottom feeder attorney's hate Thrasher because he helped pass the BEST Tort Reform Laws this State has ever seen. The ads will get ugly in the coming weeks, but the most effective leader we can have to represent our local area in Tallahassee is Thrasher. He will be a leader in the Senate and the others in the race would do very little.
