Miami Republican Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the top Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, is heading to Israel next week -- for her 9th or 10th trip.
She's scheduled to meet with senior government officials, including Israeli President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. She's also sked to visit the Western Wall and travel to the Southern Israeli city of Sderot, a frequent target of rocket and mortar attacks by Islamist extremists in Gaza, her office says. She will be accompanied by a military analyst in the Israel Defense Forces and is also to meet with survivors of suicide bombings and other attacks in Israel.
The trip is courtesy of the Doheny Global Group, an energy development firm based in Los Angeles and New York. Ros-Lehtinen's office says she got House approval for the privately-funded trip.Legistorm, a website that tracks Congress, shows Doheny last year paid $17,977 for Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson to travel to Israel.

that is right Ileana run off to play in the surf and sun of Israel, get some photo ops for your scrap book and forget all about the 11 million of your own country people are living in squalor. But then again, you aren't really Cuban at all, are you?

The cost of a trip to Israel? $$$$$$$$$$$
The moral back up to allies? PRICELESS!!!
And I have to congratulate the Congresswoman Ros, on her recent trip to Honduras. It is the call for the times we are living, to support the right side of democracy, specially when the entire continent is blind or ignorant of the current events in Honduras,
