LeMieux at Walter Reed on 9/11

New Florida senator George LeMieux was at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in DC today -- his first full day as a senator. Here's his remarks on Sept. 11:

"Eight years removed from the worst terrorist attack on our soil and Americans are still mindful of the thousands who tragically lost their lives in New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Today, we honor them and pay tribute to the legacy of those who died on that somber day.

"Today, I had the privilege of visiting Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. to meet with some of men and women who have made tremendous personal sacrifices for our safety and security. On this day, we are reminded of their courage and the courage of those who answer the call to defend our freedom. I join all Floridians in paying respect to the families touched by this national tragedy."
