Crist appoints Klement to PSC

Gov. Charlie Crist is about to appoint David Klement, the former editorial page editor of the Bradenton Herald, to the Public Service Commission, effective immediately. Klement has spent time this week in Tallahassee meeting with PSC staff toi get up to speed on the pending rate cases pushed by Florida Power & Light and Progress Energy. He is expected to be on board next week, when he'll cast one of five crucial votes on whether to delay the rate cases.
