Health care attacks escalate, this time Meek is a target

With the Democratic National Committee running radio ads to target Republicans who voted against the health care bill, the National Republican Senatorial Committee is launching a web site to "inform voters about candidates’ positions and statements during this critical debate."

Those candidates include Miami Democrat Rep. Kendrick Meek, who is running for the Senate seat and could face the committee's endorsee, Gov. Charlie Crist or Marco Rubio.

The NRSC says the site -- HealthCareTaskForce.org -- highlights 2010 Senate candidates’ positions – "or lack thereof."

Meek, the site says, voted for the "Massive Obama-Pelosi Government-Run Health Care Plan Passed By The Democrats." Meek, on his website, describes it differently. He's got a press release that hails the health care bill as "historic legislation" that will cover 96 percent of Americans.
