LeMieux's block on the State Department holds -- for now

Florida Sen. George LeMieux met with the State Department's Tom Shannon today, discussing among other things, the situation in Honduras, problems in Venezuela and "concerns about the State Department’s activities in Cuba," his office says.

But the Florida Republican isn't yet releasing his block on Shannon -- who has been nominated as ambassador to Brazil. LeMieux's office says he'll be send Shannon a list of questions on some of the subject and that "based on those written responses," LeMieux will decide whether to lift his objection.
