Senate President Jeff Atwater, the North Palm Beach Republican running for Chief Financial Officer, just tweeted his fourth-quarter fundraising numbers: "We're happy to report another strong fundraising quarter, with over $523k in contributions. Thank you to all our friends & supporters."
Rick Wilson, a campaign consultant working with Atwater, said that figure puts the campaign at $1.5 million for the year with $1.4 million cash-on-hand.
Atwater is running against Rep. Pat Patterson, R-DeLand, in the Republican primary. No major Democratic candidate has filed yet.
