Democratic House leader Ron Saunders of Key West has a target on his back. On March 1, the day before the legislative session starts, former Key West Mayor Morgan McPherson is having a Tallahassee fundraiser being held in his honor by House Speaker designate Dean Cannon and Cannon's likely successor, Will Weatherford.
McPherson recently lost his office to Craig Cates. Expect Saunders to make much of that. Saunders' campaign finances have been pretty messy, so expect that to become an issue as well.
