Gov. Charlie Crist continued his assault on Marco Rubio’s party credit card spending this morning. “I don’t think we have much idea about what the party paid for and what he paid for and what taxpayers paid for,” Crist told reporters. “The whole thing’s a mess.”
Reiterating what he said on Fox News last night, Crist said the former speaker’s charges to the Republican Party card should make voters reconsider whether to support Rubio. “I wouldn’t vote for Marco Rubio as senator,” he said. “And in fact I’m not.”
Crist dodged a question about whether he regretted picking Jim Greer as party chairman. He said Greer wasn’t chairman at the time Rubio was speaker – which isn’t exactly true. Rubio served at the helm from 2007-2008. Greer took control of the party at the same time.
