Rubio: Yeah, it costs money to be involved in politics

CNN caught up with Marco Rubio in South Carolina today where he is travelling the state, raising money with Sen. Jim DeMint. Rubio shrugged off a Times/Herald report about his CCE political committees and how he failed to report expenditures as legally required and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on consultants and un-itemized administrative costs, while giving only a handful of contributions to Republican candidates.

" The whole story's based on false premesis. Yeah it costs money to be involved in politics and that's what the committees were for. It paid for us to travel the state. We had you know 80 Republican candidates across the state."
