Broward School Board candidates keep rolling in

Until this week, only one of the four Broward School Board members seeking reelection had drawn an opponent: Laurie Rich Levinson had filed to run against Phyllis Hope.

Then Bob Parks drew a challenger for the first time in 12 years in Nora Rupert, a teacher at Piper High School. And now Ann Murray is being challenged by Gary Plancher of Davie. Murray, who was elected in 2008, represents the Southeast Broward district that includes Hollywood and Hallandale.

Meanwhile, two people are in the running to replace ex-board member Beverly Gallagher, and five others have filed to replace retiring board member Stephanie Kraft.

For those keeping score, that means 14 people so far are running for a board seat this year, including incumbents. The one incumbent still unchallenged for August's election: board chairwoman Jennifer Gottlieb, who holds a countywide seat. She could still draw an opponent; qualifying for the races doesn't end until June.

It is about time these members were challenged! Get Bob Parks out of office. Gallagher happened to have been caught, but they are all guilty of the same thing. Kraft got out and I understand she called on the FBI to investigate these clowns.

VOTE THESE CLOWNS OUT OF OFFICE AND SAVE THE DISTRICT LOTS OF MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!
