President Barack Obama just finished speaking at Kennedy Space Center, and the political leg of his trip -- his fourth to the nation's largest battleground state -- will begin shortly when he lands at Miami International Airport.
U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek of Miami, the leading candidate for Florida's open Senate seat, is expected to be among the officials who meet the president on the tarmac. Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink and state Rep. Loranne Ausley -- Democrats running for governor and CFO -- are supposed to join Obama at the second of two Democratic party fundraisers in Miami. Total estimated haul: $2.5 million.
