The website profiles 10 bills remarkable for "their sheer hopelessness...From efforts to return to the gold standard to allowing the president to run for a third term, these bills are truly quixotic, endlessly tilting at legislative windmills."
The first bill? New York Democrat Charles Rangel's effort to lift the embargo against Cuba. The bill, the site says, is likely to "meet the fate of its predecessors: death in committee."
It notes that though the embargo was in doubt when Barack Obama took office, he's only taken "modest efforts toward normalizing relations, including lifting restrictions on individuals visiting family in Cuba as allowing the sending of remittances."
