Weston City Commissioner Dan Stermer who was considering running for County Commission issued a statement today saying he won't run. A seat in southwest Broward will be vacant because Commissioner Diana Wasserman-Rubin is retiring. On the Democratic side, that leaves Pembroke Pines City Commissioner Angelo Castillo and Shevrin Jones, son of West Park Mayor Eric Jones. On the Republican side: Southwest Ranches Town Council Member Steve Breitkreuz and Christopher Max Ziadie.
