Ted Deutch's DC dream? Hoops at the White House

The Washington Post reports that the newest House Democrat fancies himself a decent basketball player and that "shooting hoops at the White House was not at the top of the list, but would certainly be a thrill."

Deutch, who replaced Rep. Robert Wexler, was sworn into office Thursday. Raising money for Dems in Miami, President Barack Obama savored the victory -- noting that the election had been cast as a referendum on Obama's health care plan.

"And you know what? It was!" Obama said to a standing ovation.
