Murzin drops bid for Senate

Looks like Pensacola Rep. Dave Murzin is dropping his bid to replace term-limited Sen. Durell Peaden in the Senate. Northescambia.com is reporting that he has filed for an Escambia County commission seat instead. He had been in a primary battle with fellow Rep. Greg Evers of Baker. Evers had received the backing of incoming Senate President Mike Haridopolos.
