Attorney General Bill McCollum is out with a tough new TV ad hitting primary opponent Rick Scott on abortion, immigration and Medicare fraud. It's the first negative ad put out specifically by the McCollum campaign (of course, there have been several ads by outside groups linked to McCollum campaign staffers.)
The campaign would not release details of the ad buy, but media buy figures show the campaign spent about $800,000, it's largest amount yet on an ad. It's concentrated in the Orlando, Tampa and West Palm Beach markets, with about three-quarters going on network TV.
