Broward County Mayor Ken Keechl and County Commissioner Sue Gunzburger, running in separate races, have surpassed the $400,000 mark in fundraising though a good chunk of that for Gunzburger is a loan.
Keechl raised about $54,000 during the most recent quarter putting his total at about $403,000 with about $169,000 cash n hand. Gunzburger's finance report hasn't yet posted on www.browardsoe.org. but her son Ron Gunzburger emailed the figures which include for the most recent quarter a $100,000 loan and about $48,000 in donations putting her total at about $402,000. She has about $203,000 on hand.
When reports post for Keechl's key challenger -- former Broward GOP chairman Chip LaMarca -- and Gunzburger's Democratic rival Steve Geller we will update.
Miramar City Commissioner Barbara Sharief loaned her county commission campaign $95,200 and raised $2,775. No posted report yet from her chief Democratic rival Pembroke Pines City Commissioner Angelo Castillo.
The next reports are due Aug. 6 -- the same day Broward will start sending absentee ballots domestically.

This is a man who can not be trusted. Every HCA employee at annual review is told with firm conviction, not to mention Columbia in association with HCA even though it is still "Columbia HCA". The stigma of what this man Scott did will never go away.
