These donors are fired up about Allen West

Meet and greets over wine and cheese can get a little dull on the campaign circuit. No matter what you think of Congressional candidate Allen West's views, the guy gets points for creativity when it comes to fundraisers: on Saturday night he will host the "West Great American South Florida Shootout" at the Delray Shooting Center.

The flier asks for $1,000 per team which includes four shooters, ammunition and refreshments or $250 per individual. Sorry kids, you have to be 21 to shoot.

Our efforts to find out how many have signed up for the "challenging shooting games" and to score an invite for ourselves were unsuccessful, so we're hoping someone sends us an email and tells us how it went.

Campaign finance reports are due today from Republican West and the incumbent he is trying to unseat: Democratic Congressman Ron Klein.

I hear he is going to be shooting skeet with pictures of Obama and Federal Departments names on them including Department of Energy, & Dept. of Education, which he proposed getting rid of.
Be careful West give West a GUN he is liable to try and make you talk or threaten your life like he did to an innocent civilian detainee in Iraq. The incident resulted in him being relieved of his military command.

"I hear he is going to be shooting skeet with pictures of Obama and Federal Departments names on them including Department of Energy, & Dept. of Education, which he proposed getting rid of."

Best plan I heard yet for stopping Obama's deficit!

"Be careful West give West a GUN he is liable to try and make you talk or threaten your life like he did to an innocent civilian detainee in Iraq. The incident resulted in him being relieved of his military command."

With regard to that "innocent civilian detainee in Iraq" here is the REAL STORY:

The Iragi Police Office in question was hard a civilian and definitely not "innocent."

While serving in Taji, Iraq, on August 20, 2003, as commander of the 2d Battalion 20th Field Artillery, Lieutenant Colonel West was in charge of an interrogation of a Iraqi Saddamist police officer who was suspected of having pertinent information regarding attacks on American soldiers. According to the Military Investigation, soldiers under West's supervision assaulted the civilian in an attempt to get him to talk. West admittedly fired a pistol into a barrel near the policeman's head, threatened his life, and allowed his troops to physically assault the man.

Col. West, who at the time was just short of having 20 years of service, was charged with violating articles 128 (assault) and 134 (general article) of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. West was processed through an Article 32 hearing in November 2003, where he admitted wrongdoing, was fined $5,000 over two months for misconduct and assault.

At a hearing, West was asked by his defense attorney if he would do it again. West replied: "If it's about the lives of my men and their safety, I'd go through hell with a gasoline can." After firing his sidearm near the Baathist policeman, named Hamoodi, he cracked and gave information about the planned ambush on West's convoy, thwarting the attack. After capturing this Baatist spy there were no further ambushes on U.S. forces in Taji through October 4, when Col. Wst was relieved of his command in Taji, Iraqi.

Here are Col. Alan West's military awards and decorations: They include the Bronze Star; Meritorious Service Medal; (two Oak Leaf Clusters); Army Commendation Medal (two Oak Leaf Clusters, one Valor Device); Army Achievement Medal (one Oak Leaf Cluster); Valorous Unit Award; Air Assault Badge and the Parachutist Badge.

In addition, West has been awarded the following service medals and ribbons: National Defense Service Medal (with bronze star device); Southwest Asia Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Army Overseas Service Ribbon (multiple awards); Saudi Arabia Kuwait Liberation Medal W/Palm Tree and Kuwait Liberation Medal. He then submitted his resignation, and was allowed to retire with full benefits in the summer of 2004.

Now you know the rest of the story - only Attorney General Eric Holder would consider a Baatist police who was spying with terrorist attacking US trrops in Iraq to be merely an "innocent civilian detainee!"

Good for West - He is EXACTLY what we need to fight the bed-wetting progressives who wipe their backside with the constitution.

Sooooooo, it looks like Lt. Colonel West's manly determination to get results and save American lives, coupled with his annoyed disregard for the limp-wristed pansies in the ACLU has all of your "progressives'" (liberals') panties in a bunch! Thanks to lawyers (spit) and liberals, the U.S. military has TOO DAMN MANY hyper-technical rules for the men in the field to adhere to. Screw that! We should hunt down and KILL the enemy. I know all you touchy-feelies aren't quite sure who the enemy is, so I'll fill you in: it's ANY AND ALL MUSLIMS WHO WANT TO KILL AMERICANS. If you want to call them "radical," fine, but I don't care how looney or "radical" they're outward comportment appears to be -- if we find out they're desirous of killing Americans or are helping others to do the same, we should follow them across borders, threaten and beat their collaborators, kick in doors and KILL THEM WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE.

Allen West for President! ! !
