New Scott ad: McCollum 'supports secrecy'

It's getting nastier and nastier in the Republican primary for governor. Rick Scott's latest ad eviscerates Bill McCollum for "supporting secrecy," both in the Jim Greer scandal and for opposing extending the Sunshine Law to the Legislature. The ad draws on this McCollum quote from June: "I'm not sure the Legislature is the place for open government." Watch the new Scott ad here.

Scott takes liberties in the ad by suggesting McCollum supported Greer's alleged efforts to hide party finances. The ad also doesn't mention that McCollum had a hand (albeit belatedly) in toppling Greer.
