Crist v. Meek in West Palm Beach

Gov. Charlie Crist, who's been getting a lot of flak for not accepting more invitations to debate his U.S. Senate rivals, is expected to appear with Democrat Kendrick Meek on Sept. 15 at the non-partisan Forum Club of the Palm Beaches luncheon.

It's not a debate, but Crist and Meek will be giving back-to-back speeches. Republican Marco Rubio has another campaign event and can't make it.

The Forum Club of the Palm Beaches is waiting to hear back from Republican candidate for governor Rick Scott, to see if he will join his Democratic opponent, Alex Sink, at an Oct. 15 luncheon.
