Bill Nelson vs. Rush Limbaugh? Keep the radio gig, poll suggests

Public Policy Polling pits the radio talk show host against Florida's senior senator -- who is up for releection in 2012. And it looks like Rush should keep his day job.

Nelson leads Limbaugh 50 to 36 in that hypothetical match up, PPP says. "Nelson would have his party base pretty well locked up, independents would go for him overwhelmingly by a 58-30 margin, and even 21 percent of Republicans say they'd prefer Nelson to Limbaugh."

The post notes a PPP poll in July found Nelson leading Jeb Bush 46-44 and George LeMieux 49-28.
