Debate Sunday: Ron Klein, Allen West and David Rivera, Joe Garcia face off in first TV debates

It was congressional debate Sunday on WPLG-ABC 10's This Week in South Florida.

Featured on the morning were a standoff between U.S. Rep. Ron Klein, the Democratic incumbent in the 22nd Congressional District, against Republican challenger Allen West -- and later a debate between the two hopefuls for the 25th district, Republican state Rep. David Rivera and Democrat Joe Garcia.

Each debate lasted less than 30 minutes and was characterized by rivals interrupting and speaking over each other. Other than saying that job creation is vital and that bolstering the economy should top Congress' agenda, the opponents in both debates agreed on little. And all four candidates used the first televised debate in their respective races to repeat attacks they have made in their campaign and say their opponent is out of touch with voters.
