The Florida AFL-CIO is continuing a direct mail effort with what it says is a "massive" statewide mailing, targeting candidates Republican gubernatorial candidate Rick Scott, along with congressional hopefuls Daniel Webster, Steve Southerland, Stacy Adams, Allen West and David Rivera.
The group says the mailers come as part of a national direct mail campaign with 3.5 million pieces hitting union members doors across the country this week. Click to see a sample.
The congressional pieces highlight what the union says are "anti-worker policies and support of outsourcing much needed American jobs. Headlined "Tax loopholes encourage corporations to send good jobs overseas" the mailers note that the targeted candidate "has signed a pledge supporting tax breaks that make it profitable for big corporations to ship jobs overseas."
