With independents showing their strong support for Democrat Alex Sink, the state's chief financial officer holds a lead over Republican Rick Scott 43.1 percent to 38.5 percent, according to a new Naples Daily News/Zogby poll.
The poll of 802 likely voters, conducted Oct. 18-21, shows 46 percent of independent voters are supporting Sink, compared to 26 percent for Scott. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
The numbers are a flip-flop of a Miami Herald/St. Petersburg Times/Bay News 9 poll conducted Oct. 15-19 which showed Scott with the lead 44 percent to Sink's 41 percent, all within that poll's 4.1 percent margin of error.

The Zogby poll is worthless. It even had Rubio up by only 6 points on Charlie Christ while every other pole out there has him up 12+. Funny how the Miami Herald always used the polls that are close and help the liberal candidates. Looking forward to the Miami Herald bankruptcy.

Time for the rational center to unite behind Governor Crist.
