The newly-elected governor is among those meeting today near the White House with President Barack Obama and vice president Joe Biden.
Biden greeted the new governors by joking that he ran for the U.S. Senate and "would never have the courage to run for governor or mayor, because they know where you live and you really have to get things done.
"In the Senate, we had a nice time," Biden said to laughter. The president congratulated the assembled and told them state and local government is where the "rubber hits the road."
And he pledged cooperation with both Democrats and Republicans: "We have just had a very vigorously contested election but the election’s over and now I think it’s time for all of us to make sure we are working together."

Funny how important the need to "all work together" has become since the Democraps are no longer in charge.
