A White House official says the president will head to Miami March 4 "to discuss his plan for winning the future."
That plan includes $53 billion for high-speed passenger trains -- like the one Florida Gov. Rick Scott has rejected.
Obama will also attend a fundraiser for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Florida Democrat Bill Nelson is one of the top GOP targets -- with a field of challengers that seems to grow daily.
