Representatives urge Gibbons and Thurston to make a deal on Democratic leadership

Democratic Representatives Franklin Sands and Luis Garcia sent a letter earlier this month to Joe Gibbons and Perry Thurston to work out their differences and determine who will lead the caucus before the session begins next month. "Elections can be heated and divisive," the two wrote. And the Democrats don't need that tension hanging over them in the session, they said. "We must not allow internal elections to be a reason that divides us," they wrote. Read the  Sands-Garcia Letter here.
