Debbie Wasserman Schultz returns to Tally

The Broward Democrat will be in Tallahassee today to lobby against state budget proposals that would cut a cybercrime unit that goes after internet predators from 34 people to 15.

Wasserman Schultz said the cuts would imperil victims of online predators. She's the author of a federal law that developed a national strategy to combat online child exploitation.

The former state senator told Capitol News Connection she hasn't been back to the state Capitol since she was elected to Congress in 2004. Many members show up at least every decade -- when legislators begin creating the maps that set legislative and congressional boundaries.
