The April 15 deadline for Americans to file their taxes is creeping closer, and as millions of folks rush to file their 1040 forms, Sen. Bill Nelson is urging the IRS to keep better tabs of prisoners filing fraudulent tax claims. "It's an unwelcome distinction, but the entire state of Florida led the nation last year with the most prison inmates committing tax fraud," Nelson said. He's right, PolitiFact Florida found out.

The tax filing deadline this year is April 18 due to the observance of Emancipation Day on April 15 in DC.
