Former Massachusetts Gov. and potential 2012 presidential hopeful Mitt Romney is spreading some cash to Florida politicians, including Sen. Marco Rubio -- who is pressing for an early Florida primary -- and Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart.
Romney's Free and Strong America PAC said it gave $83,500 to 40 U.S. Senate and House leaders. The contributions come on top of $124,500 that Romney’s PAC sent to 50 U.S. Senate and House Republicans last month.
Rubio got $2,500; Diaz-Balart got $2,000. Romney also contributed to Floridians Sandy Adams, Rich Nugent and Dennis Ross.
